U.N. DISARMAMENT WEEK Begins each October 24th on the anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
Each year during U.N. Disarmament Week, the United Nations encourages the public to increase awareness about the danger of the arms race and the urgency of bringing such a race to an end. U.N. Disarmament Week is an important opportunity for us to recognize that disarmament is a key element in creating a more just and peaceful world. The MY HERO Project observes UN Disarmament Week by bringing you the heroes behind the movement.
