In 2006 MY HERO was awarded a Cultural Arts Exchange Grant from the U.S. State Department Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs to introduce the MY HERO Web Site and media arts education skills to students, educators and artists in the Balkans, Senegal and Jordan.

In May 2007, as part of this arts exchange program MY HERO representatives and fellow video artists Skip Blumberg and Antonio Mendoza traveled to four countries in the former Yugoslavia -- Macedonia, Kosovo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Montenegro -- to conduct video and media workshops for the MY HERO/GLOBAL EXCHANGE Project.

Presently MY HERO media arts educators are preparing to travel to Senegal and Jordan for a series of workshops, and to return to the Balkans to continue developing this cross-cultural arts exchange program.
