Yani Tseng is the youngest player in LPGA history to win three career major championships, and is currently ranked number 1 in the Women's World Golf Rankings.

She was born on January 23rd, 1989. When she was a little girl, her parents sent her to learn many accomplishments like piano and painting. Though she had talent on the piano, she didn’t have patience for it. However, after she first touched a golf club at 5-years-old, she became more energetic. Then she entered her first golf tournaments when she was six years old. Since Yani has started her career, she has shown her gift for golf, and she has won a lot of championships.

And in the summer of 2004, Yani did a great thing that shocked the world. She defeated Michelle Wie in Public Links.

I choose Yani Tseng to be my hero. Not only does she have extraordinary skills in golf, but she has a strong determination to win that others can’t compare with. She has several aspirations that could be more respected by us. She hopes she can boost the popularity of golf in Taiwan, and win tournaments for Taiwan. Sometimes, fans mistake her for other Asian people, she always says proudly, ”I am Taiwanese”. Though I don't play golf often, I just play it once a year, watching golf tournaments on TV is something I enjoy. I especially like seeing the looks on their faces when they concentrate on those little balls on the grass.
