Hey people! My hero is Theodore Roosevelt. He was frequently ill and he had to learn how to overcome his illnesses with his father. Evidently he overcame his illnesses and went to the gym everyday. His father Sir Theodore Roosevelt always told him to do his best and never to give up hope.

Teddy Roosevelt also created National Parks and also a preserve for animals. The national parks that Theodore created are: Crater Lake National Park (OR)- 1902, Wind Cave National Park(SD)- 1903, Sullys Hill (ND)- 1904 (now managed by US Fish & Wildlife Service), Platt National Park (OK) - 1906 (now part of Chickasaw National Recreation Area), Mesa Verde National Park (CO)- 1906. He was in the national park organization.

The thing in my heart that makes me think of Theodore Roosevelt as my hero is that he had to overcome many things like illnesses and went over the limits. When I said to go over the limits I mean that maybe we should all go beyond what we say is impossible to accomplish.

When I first started this project I thought, ”What would I say to explain Teddy Roosevelt and then I had an idea. He was brave and honest. He was brave because he created a group called Rough Riders and they fought for many rights. He was honest because he would always be trusted with big things.

Well that’s my hero. Teddy Roosevelt is AWESOME!!! ;)
