Did you know that we used to abuse pesticides? Well if you didn't, now you know. (The more you know) If you are wondering my dear reader 'why and how did it stop' well my good reader you are about to find out.

I chose Rachel Carson for several reasons. One of the main reason was because she helped stop the terrible abuse of pesticides by doing extensive research and she called attention to the public of this terrible cause by writing a book with the extensive research that she researched. She was from Springdale, PA. And she loves nature (not all nature lovers are hippies guys!!!!) Did you also know that she was a marine biologist and also was a writer? Also did you know that she was sick the four years that it took to write it? (Again the more you know...)

You know when I said that we abused pesticides. I meant it!!! We used to spray it all over our bodies and our children and our growing crops. I would kind of like to care more about nature, maybe just try to be more conservative and maybe not be afraid to show my creativity.
