Hero... What do we think of when we hear this word? It is often suggested that a hero is an artist, an actress or a singer. But a hero can be anyone: a child, an adult, even a pet. In my opinion, a hero is a person who makes our life happy and supports us during our hard days, always stays with us no matter how long it will take. It's my Mother. She gave me birth, and since that time my mum has been taking care of me. She is the most amazing person for me in the world.

My mother was born in the small town of Bui in Russia. Her parents, my grandfather and grandmother, gave the first name Oksana to her. She became an elder sister in the family. In her childhood, my mom was a funny and friendly girl. Like all the children, she studied at school. There my mom acquired her best friends with whom she still communicates and always keeps hospitable relations. Her favorite subjects at school were Maths and Literature. Besides, she enjoyed attending a town musical school where she was taught to play the piano. Since that time unbelievably has she been good at playing the piano and singing! In the evenings our family often gets together in the living room and listen to mother's playing. Now, she is actively trying to teach my younger brother Misha to play the piano and he is a success. One day mom could have been a talented pianist or singer. Instead of this she preferred maths to music, and five years later, she got a degree in railroad engineering from a university in St. Petersburg, the second largest city in Russia. Soon she met my father and they got married. 

Now I could say that our family is so great: our parents, my two younger brothers Misha and Denis and me. I am really surprised how my mom copes with a lot of problems. Denis is only 5 months old, and mummy devotes almost all her spare time to him. But, she doesn't forget about us and our home life. Sometimes I can't understand how she manages to find time in order to cook dinner for all the family, keep the flat clean, do the shopping, help us with homework and take care of every family member. At the same time she feels calm, smiling and merry.

My mother is the person who will always listen to me and support me in different situations. I am sure that I can trust her with all the secrets, and she will understand me. I believe that my mom is my best friend. Using her awesome way, she often helps me cope with my teenage troubles: school grades, friends, sad mood. We spend a lot of time together on weekends and holidays. We have much in common, and some of our hobbies are similar. I feel quite warm cooking, going shopping, dancing, doing sports, skiing and skating together with mum. Spending time with her makes me happy.

I love my mom, and I know that she loves me and our family. She is the dearest person for me, and she is my closest friend. I can't image my life without her. I 'm so proud of my mother. She is my hero, and I want to be like her.
