My hero is Nicolae Constantin Paulescu was born on 30th October 1869 in Bucharest and died on 19 July 1931. He was an important Romanian scientist, a great doctor and skillful philosopher. Paulescu was a professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Bucharest. All his life he was a dedicated doctor, totally concerned about healing people with diabetes. Paulescu became known because he contributed to the discovery of anti diabetic hormone released by the pancreas called insulin. Insulin participates in lowering blood glucose concentrations. It was a great discovery for humanity, and a lot of people must be grateful for it. Nicolae Constantin Paulescu is a hero for me because he was a doctor who cared about people, about their health, and everything he did and managed to achieve was in order to help people in need, offering them a chance to life.
