During a time of great struggle for Nelson Mandela's people, Mr. Mandela had the courage to stand up for himself, his community and his country. By standing up against Apartheid, fighting for his rights, he was wrongly imprisoned for 27 years. His determination to solve the conflict between races is what drove him to later become the President of South Africa. He abolished apartheid, he saved his people, and brought freedom and relative peace to South Africa...He truly is an amazing person, and a definite hero...
