My Mum

My hero is my mum. I choose her because she always helps me, she’s always with me, she’s got leadership skills and she is leading the family, she’s working all day to make money and because she loves me more than anyone in the world she has made sacrifices, like all mothers do for their children. She’s not very tall and strong but she’s really self-confident and she believes that nothing can stop her. She’s got a great problem solving skills which she uses to help me with my problems. Even if our family isn’t from Slovenia she learned the language very fast. Once when my father had to go to Slovenia for a long time she was there for me. She was doing her best to be my mum and dad. Even if she works all day to manage to survive, she always comes with a positive energy, even when she is tired – the smile is there on her face. Sometimes, when the situation was tough she would skip lunch, so that I could have a toy, or that I don’t feel we have little money. Her self-confidence gave her the strength to make good decisions.

At the end my father came back from Slovenia and he told us that we have to move to Slovenia and it was really hard for me because I had lot of friends in Serbia, but my mum was there to help me. Now we live in Slovenia and we live a great life. Every struggle is heroic and my mum did a heroic job.
