Mickey Mantle

Mickey Mantle was born October 20,1931. He was born in Spavinaw, Oklahoma. He had a wife (Merilyn Johnson) and 4 children: Mickey Elvin Mantle (boy), David Mantle(boy), Billy Mantle(boy), Daniel Mantle(boy). He hit with both hands, and threw with his right hand. He won 3 MVP awards.

He is my hero because hit a lot of home runs. And he didn't take steroids like lots of baseball players. He was number seven. Mickey Mantle did not go to college, the Yankees drafted him the day he graduated from high school. He died of liver cancer. Mickey Mantle will always be one of the greats. And always remember him.
