Muhammad Ali was born in 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was raised in a very small house. His dad painted billboards and signs while his mom was a household domestic. Ali had a brother named Rahman who was two years older than Ali. His bike got stolen at age 12. His birth name was Cassius Marcellas Clay Jr.

Muhammad Ali spent his teen life in a gym molding his body and mind into championship caliber. He won a gold gloves championship at age 17, an Olympic Gold medal at age 18, and an undefeated heavyweight championship at age 22, but this was just the beginning.

I chose this person because in third grade I did an essay on his daughter Laila Ali. So I thought maybe since I know a little bit about his daughter why not do a report about Muhammad Ali. I also wanted to write about Muhammad Ali because I thought I could get more information about Muhammad Ali than I did before. Muhammad Ali is really interesting to learn about.
