Have you ever heard of Malala Yousafzai? She was an outstanding person who stood up for girls' educational rights and got shot by the Taliban in 2012. She was fourteen years old. She lived in Swat Valley, Pakistan, and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. She accomplished so much, so early in her life. Malala Yousafzai is my hero because she is inspirational, fearless, and courageous.

Here are four reasons why Malala is inspirational. After the attack, Malala started to campaign for girls' rights to go to school. She went against the Taliban's orders and publicly spoke about the education of girls' rights. She was named one of the one hundred most influential people worldwide by Time Magazine! Malala went to a local press club for the first time and gave a speech on the closing of schools saying, "How dare the Taliban take away my basic right to education?" These are four reasons why Malala is inspirational to me.

Here are some reasons why Malala is fearless. Malala never let the Taliban stop her, and she wasn't afraid of them. Here is a quote that Malala said, "The terrorists thought they would change my aims and stop my ambitions, but nothing changed in my life except this: weakness, fear, and hopelessness died." The significance of this quote is to show that Malala has no fear of the Taliban anymore. After the shooting, she continued to stand up for girls' educational rights. She also ignored the Taliban's rules, and demanded that girls have the right to go to school.

In my opinion Malala is courageous. She defied the Taliban's orders about girls' educational rights. Before the shooting, she campaigned for girls to have the right to education. Malala was shot by the Taliban and survived, trying so hard to stay alive. Lastly, Malala fought the Taliban with words for the sake of educational rights. This is why Malala is courageous in my opinion.

Overall, Malala Yousafzai is my hero because she is inspirational, fearless, and courageous. Everything Malala did in her life resembled her strength. She had the courage to keep moving on, no matter what happened. Another example that signifies Malala's courage in her lifetime was after she got shot in the head she continued to stand up to the Taliban. Malala Yousafzai is an extraordinary person that I will never forget.
