Melissa was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She completed elementary and middle school but her GED was not accomplished until she was nearly 30. She has worked two jobs and she finished her college courses for Nursing. Melissa is now working as a nurse in a local hospital.
Melissa demonstrates characteristics of a hero because she finished college in nursing and made a lot of people happy and herself proud.
She has inspired me to work at a hospital. So when I grow up I want to be a vet and a successful woman just like my mom.
