Martin Luther King Jr. is my hero because he was caring and respectful and persistent. He fought for blacks' rights in his country and the world. Some liked him. Some hate him, others wanted to kill him. He was a good man.

Martin Luther King was caring. He treated everybody the exact same way. He wanted blacks and whites to have the same rules. He helped people who were having problems.

He was very respectful of others. He respected the rules of the white people back then, even though he thought they were unfair. He believed in non-violence.

He was very persistent. Even though people bombed his house and threatened him, he continued to march and spread words of non-violence. He eventually died for his cause, because someone who didn’t like him got close enough to shoot him.

For the reasons above, this is why Martin Luther King is my hero.
