Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi is my hero for many reasons. He fought for his country's rights. At a young age he did a big thing. He stopped the British rule.

He went on a fast to show disrespect to the British. He got everyone to make their own clothes. He led a march against the British. He helped many people.

When he was 12 he got married. At the age of 16 Mahatma moved to be a lawyer. Then he realized he was too nervous to speak in public. He believed in peace not hate.

Eventually he regained his country’s freedom.He has inspired many people like Martin Luther King Jr.

For these and many other reasons Mahatma Gandhi is my hero.
