Kenny Chesney was born March 26,1968 in Johnson City,TN his father was a teacher and his mother a hairdresser. He has a younger sister. In 1986, Kenny Chesney graduated from Gibbs High School. He played baseball and was a receiver on the football team. In 1987 Kenny Chesney received his first guitar for Christmas and began teaching himself to play.
Kenny studied marketing at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) in Johnson City, where he was member of the ETSU Bluegrass Program and Nolichucky River. In 1989 he recorded his first songs and made 1000 copies to sell at local events. He graduated with a degree in advertising in December 1990. At this time he moved to Nashville to begin his singing career. He has received many awards for his songs. Kenny performs at benefits to help others.
Kenny demonstrates the characteristics of a hero through his volunteer work and giving to those in need. He is a hard worker and is dedicated to his music and family. He is an honest person and inspires others to be interested in music.
