My hero is Jane Eyre. She was stronq, calm and generous.  She was always ready to help anyone who needs her help. She had a difficult childhood. Her relatives hated Jane, so they sent her to school, where she spent 8 years of her life. She grew up more clever than her nephews.

"Jane Eyre is a first-person narrative of the title character. The novel goes through five distinct stages: Jane's childhood at Gateshead,  her education at Lowood School, her time as the governess of Thornfield Hall, where she falls in love with Edward Rochester; her time with the Rivers family  and the finale with her marriage to, her beloved Rochester." (WIKIPEDIA)

She isn't nice and beautiful. The men don't look at her, they just don't notice her.  Jane is passionate and opinionated and values freedom and independence.

Jane also  has a strong conscience and is sincerely religious.  Although Jane is educated and well-mannered, she is a paid servant.

The novel describes society.  Jane never  allows herself to forgot her moral and religious principles.  Jane believes in the importance of women's independence and tries to maintain a position in life.  "In her search for freedom Jane also struggles with the question of what type freedom she wants." (SPARKNOTES)

While reading this book, at first I didn't know that Jane was a brave woman.  I thought she was weak, cowardly.  While I was reading she was changing, her character was opening. I was surprised how the man could change himself.  Maybe she had a firm belief in life and love.

I think she is my hero for all my life.
