A hero to me is someone who inspires you to do something for a great cause. Heroes can also help you when you are going through a tough time or can also be someone who saves or saved a life. My hero is Jane Goodall. Some people may not consider someone as being a hero by saving animal's habitats and lives, but I do.

Jane Goodall was born April 3, 1934 in London, England. When Jane was about 2 years old her mother gave her a stuffed chimpanzee that she still has to this day. When she was about 10 or 11, she had a dream of living in Africa with chimps. Her mother always encouraged her dream which eventually came true. Jane Goodall was working as a waitress trying to earn as much money as she could to go to Africa. Jane finally traveled to Africa when she was 23.

Jane is my hero because she was the founder of the Jane Goodall Institute. The Jane Goodall Institute is an institute that saves chimp's habitats and chimps themselves from being killed and extinct by preserving their territory where no one can harm the chimps. She does not only help the chimpanzees but other endangered monkey species. She inspires me that you can fulfill your dream no matter what it is and you can save many lives and homes of living being whether its animals or humans.
