My hero is Hana Brady. She was a little girl who loved to skate, ski and have fun. One day the Nazis took over her town and said Jewish kids are not allowed to do a lot of things. She died the day she arrived at Auschwitz in the 1940s.

She was a kind person. She showed kindness to other people who were living in the concentration camps. She also gave her extra food to her brother George to help him stay strong when they were in a concentration camp.

She showed perseverance. She always won in her family cross country skis races back home. She survived the Terezin ghetto even though she lost her parents.

For all these reasons, Hana Brady is my hero.
