Georgiana Munteanu, My English Teacher

by Ruxandra Mereuta from Galati, Romania

Georgiana Munteanu was born on 1st of August. She has more than 20 years of experience being a teacher. She is married, and has a 28-year-old son. Her husband is also a teacher; he teaches music and he taught her to play the guitar. She teaches English in our school, but she can also speak French very well.

I can tell you why Mrs. Munteanu is my hero:

She is fond of children and nature. She believes that nature is God’s gift to humanity and that is why we all should respect and love nature. She is involved in many environmental programmes and she tries and succeeds to get her students to love nature, too. She believes in man-nature communion and that this link should be kept and respected. I most admire her commitment and devotion towards her students and how she succeeds to convince us that we can do anything we want if we use our hearts as fuel for our goals in life.

Mrs. Munteanu likes to leave a mark on her students’ hearts and to leave them with a solid knowledge of English. She inspires her students with her great and virtuous qualities as a human. I love this teacher for what she teaches us and how kindly she does that. But I also like her for who she is and for how she manages to influence us. She has a talent to make us want to discover more. And the more we discover with her help, the more we like English and nature.

"The best teacher is the one who suggests rather than dogmatizes, and inspires his listener with the wish to teach himself." ~ Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton
