MY HERO Project seeks unique works of art by professional and student artists that celebrate the lives and courageous acts of heroes who work to promote change by positively affecting others and their communities. Completed artwork should reflect thoughtful ideas to show how the selected hero demonstrates heroic action and creates positive social change.

Our school & community

Dol pri Hrastniku is a small village in the Zasavje region in the heart of Slovenia. The area has got a strong coal mining past.

There are 15-26 students in the classes and this school year there are around 670 students at our school.

The town's name bears the name HRAST, meaning an oak tree, so the emblem of of our school is an oak leaf with students.
