Ziyi Zhang is one of the most popular movie stars in Hollywood. She was born in Beijing. There are three family members in her family, mother, father and an elder brother. Ziyi entered dance school when she was a child. Her mother wanted Ziyi to become stronger physically because she was too thin. Through unceasing efforts and excellent performances in many aspects, she entered good performing schools, like The Central Academy of Drama, where Ziyi contacted performing arts, laying solid foundation for her career.

Due to her outstanding performances in many dramas, many directors, like Ang Lee and Yimou Zhang , appreciate her talent. In the early stage of her career, it was very lucky that Ziyi could cooperate with famous movie stars and directors. Now, she has become a household name, thanks to the movies “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” “House of Flying Daggers” and “Memoirs of a Geisha.” Ziyi has a beautiful face and shape; she also acts each role perfectly, which makes her stand out.

People say,” No pain, no gain.” We see and hear about Ziyi’s accomplishments. As for her efforts, many people may not know about that. At first, Ziyi’s English was very poor. To polish her English, she studied very hard. One year later, Ziyi spoke English well and fluently. It is amazing how fast she has picked up English. Another example is in the movie “House of Flying Daggers;” she played a blind entertainer in a brothel. To play her role well, she spent months living with a blind lady. And in the same movie, she had to dance, which was very hard to learn, but Ziyi still practiced hard. Now, she is named “The most beautiful woman in the world.”
