Jose de San Martin

This author believes, “A hero is an ordinary person who does extraordinary deeds and tries endlessly to accomplish their goals.” A hero is anyone who believes in their values and perseveres in completing their dreams. He or she is open-minded and is committed to their time and work to help people they don’t even know. An ordinary person can be a hero who tries and is confident about achieving their goal. Jose de San Martin is considered a great hero in many South American countries for his work toward freedom.

Jose de San Martin was a rescuer of Argentina, Chile, and Peru from Spanish rule. He was born in Argentina and later moved to Spain where he was educated at the Noble Seminary of Madrid and served in the Spanish army. He felt that the colonials always treated Peru, Chile, and Argentina badly. He wanted for the colonials to free Chile, Peru, and Argentina.

His father was a professional soldier and probably was the reason why he was a great soldier. He started a military career in the Maurcia Infantry Regiment in South Eastern Spain. He received a military education in Madrid. Between 1808 and 1811 he battled Napoleon. He met with the government in Argentina called the Segundo Triunvirato and made freedom in his home country in 1812. He gathered up his army in 1818 and attacked the Spanish and eventually won independence in Chile. Later, he invaded Peru to free the Peruvians from Spanish rule.

Jose de San Martin was a leader and had courage to fight for freedom for all. He was also persistent in trying again when defeated. San Martin was determined to reach his goal. He preserved for his dream to come true. He was confident to reach his dream and achieved them.

In conclusion, a hero is an ordinary person who does extraordinary deeds and tries endlessly to accomplish their goals. They dedicate time and work for others. Jose de San Martin is considered a great hero in many South American countries for his work toward freedom. Jose de San Martin changed many lives and is thanked for his work.
