A hero to me is a person that always does his best and doesn't back down and He/She doesn't always have to be a person who does the most heroic thing. A hero can also be a person who loves, cares and helps others less fortunate then him or even just equal or more wealthy. A hero doesn't take action when a distress call always comes and sometimes they can be a person who holds the door open for you, or helps you walk across the street. A hero doesn't have to have super powers or have to fight in the war or anything. My point is that a hero can just about be an everyday person who helps a person who is having some trouble. The hero that I have chosen is my father, (David). My dad is my hero because he has done many things to help not only his community but his country as well. At the age of 18 my father enlisted in the Marines and was in the Panama Conflict. In the conflict he learned that you can't always have second thoughts and you should usually go with your gut. My dad usually doesn't ever have second thoughts and he always or was usually right because he has been in situations where he has had to think fast and to act fast. If he didn't, severe stuff would have happened to him or others.

After the conflict was done my father was done with his training and serving and was able to come home. When he came home he became a firefighter and helped others by putting out fires and saving lives. He worked for a couple of years and decided to become a Police Officer and serve with justice. As he was a Firefighter and a Police Officer he learned that law is important and he always follows them. As a firefighter he has come up with precautions in-case something bad will happen such as a fire, flood, icy roads, and so forth. He learned that precautions such as fires aren't very common to happen to one person but it does happen. He made escape routes for the family. He also bought a fire extinguisher in case there's a fire in the kitchen and when he does this stuff he lets me know that he cares for our family and that is a very nice hero in my book. After the job as a Police Officer my father became insurance seller which does help others as well.

And finally after all of these jobs he stays with a rock bagger at 3M who loads them onto a train. He is not only a bagger for 3M but he is on a council that hires people and fires people. He is also on another council for the department that figures who should get payed for how many hours they work and stuff. This was a high position for anyone in the factory and my father got at the first month of working at the factory. This shows that he is a hard worker and a loyal one too.

My Father's Division. He is the one crouching.
My Father's Division. He is the one crouching.

He is my hero because he taught me never to back down, and always to go get back up on your feet and try again if your first attempt doesn't work. He has inspired me by talking to me when I do bad, and explain what I did good so I can keep it up. He always has faith in me and others and has been that way for years. He has brought me back up on my feet when I was down and he has always had my back in situations that have been on the bad side for me. He has done that for friends and family, and that is pretty generous to take his time to help others instead of being selfish and helping only himself.

He is an inspiration to me and to others. He is my father and I am proud to know I look up to a hero every time I come home. He inspires others by doing what is right and a lot of other things that he has done. David is a hard worker, a proud worker, and a honest worker. Others can learn from him almost all of the same things that I did: Headstrong, Loyal, Kind, and more. He has learned to do right and that is why my father, David is my hero.
