Introduction: I chose my Grandpa David because he was an RCMP officer, and a great father (to my dad), and a great husband (to my Grandma 22). He was also a great grandpa. I think, I never really met him because he died of a heart attack when coming home from Disneyland, 10 months after I was born. He helped lots of people be safe too. Welcome to 'My Hero' page, about my grandpa "David T. Bristow!"

David's personal life: David Bristow was born January 1st. He was Vernon's first New Year baby. His parents were Verna Bristow (mother) and Charlie Bristow. He had two children, Todd Bristow (married to Shannon) and Tina Bristow-Goettel (married to Aaron). Dave served with the RCMP from 1966 to 2001 in Colonsay, Elbow, Morse, Loon Lake, North Battleford, Ituna and Coronach, Saskatchewan and retired back to Vernon where he was born and raised. He also loved the outdoors and gardening.

David's Accomplishments: He was a highway traffic analyst that was a person who instigated unknown crashes. He had two wonderful children. He had 8 nieces and nephews and 6 he did not meet. When he was in school he never was sick or missed a day of school. He did 35 years of service and never missed a day of work. After he retired he worked as a security person at a hospital. Never missed a day at work there either. He played RCMP hockey in his division and went to the tournaments. He was in the Last troop on March 6 1966 and he trained and rode the horses. He also got cross rifles and cross pistols. He made the best toffee in the family. He also always had the cleanest vehicles in the family.

Conclusion: Thank you for reading my "My Hero" page I hope you enjoyed it and learned about my amazing Grandpa David. I hope you are as proud of me as my family is about keeping my grandpa's memories alive. He was truly an amazing hero by helping the world in small but important ways. I wish he were still alive because even though he is gone, I wish he would play games with me and my family whenever he came over with my grandma 22. Please know that even small things you do can make you a hero to others.
