Charles Horace Mayo

by David from Van Nuys

My hero is Charles Horace Mayo

My hero is Charles Horace Mayo. He helped people. He was an American medical doctor and he was in the army medical corps. He worked so hard and he went to school and gradated from college and he helped people in the army. Their family is the most well known in medicine. It means to me they were smart and hard working. They were the best family and medical people ever. For the other people who are not interested and don’t like doctors, it's their loss. I really enjoy doctors and how they save people. They're brave and they try really hard to save people. I really want to see how they help them.

He was born on July 19, 1865 and lived in Rochester and died 26-may-1939 and in Chicago. He went to Northwestern University at the Feinberg School of Medicine and he passed college. His dad's name was William Worrall Mayo and his brother's name was William James Mayo. There were also medical people. His mom taught him about botany and everything medical. He was really good kid. He would be the best medical man ever. After a while he was big and knew a lot about medicine then he eventually began to help his dad in surgeries.

Charles' wife, Edith Graham, was the very first nurse anesthetist in the hospital and Charles performed his very first surgery at Saint Mary’s. Dr Wilfred T Grenfell noticed how famous and popular the Mayos had become. Dr Wilfred T Grenfell and Charles best knew the U. S. medical team, dread publicity. Seen there only 4 hundred doctor and they get about 7 hundred sick people every day.

The Mayo family was in the newspaper, which was last week: about 1,000,000 Mayo patients and readers of few book about the clinic. The Mayo Clinic is a partnership of a few men headed by the brothers Mayo. The late Edward Starr Judd, their nephew by marriage and like them a onetime president of the American medical Association Mayo Clinic, received $75,000 a year. Some people work in the clinic and who must have interned elsewhere-average $70 a month and keep.

Of everyone I could pick it will be Charles Horace Mayo. He is the best one I would really want to know. He was the one who helped the army, and is best known for U S medical team, go to college and helped his dad. His family is known for medical people and they rock. I wish I could meet them. If I have a wish. I wish I could meet Charles Horace Mayo. I can believe he helped the army best know of that. He saved many people lives in the army. I wish I could see him at that time.
