Thank you for your interest in the MY HERO International Short Film Festival. You must read and agree to these terms to continue:

MY HERO will not accept films that promote hatred, violence, or intolerance. We strive to be an all-ages friendly site, so please keep that in mind when submitting a film for consideration. Work submitted to this film festival must celebrate a hero, explore concepts of heroism, or examine hero-related topics.

Acceptable film formats:
H264, MP4 format. Hi-res (720p or larger)

No matter what submission method is chosen, you must complete the required entry and release/consent forms to submit with your film.

A panel of judges will review the films and award individuals or classes in each of the following categories:
Elementary School
Middle School
High School
College/Graduate School
Enthusiast
Professional

Awards will be given to all finalists. Winners will receive a prize.

All footage, video graphics/pictures, and audio (including sound bites, music, etc.) MUST be original, unless you have the express written consent of the original owner for use in your work. We will not knowingly accept a movie that contains uncleared material. Films should be less than 10 minutes in length.

Please know that selected works will be featured on the MY HERO web site throughout the year. Submitting your work gives MY HERO permission to screen the work on its website, with all authors credited appropriately. You also grant MY HERO permission and rights to publish selected screenshots from your work on the MY HERO Web site and in promotional materials. You also grant MY HERO non-exclusive rights to use your film in promotional and educational DVD's.
